Noise Impact Assessment, Pre and Post Development for Aldi

Summary:

MOR Environmental was commissioned to undertake comprehensive, day-time and night-time noise surveys for Aldi stores at various locations around the country.

Scope:

MOR conducted desk-based reviews of the Aldi sites, identifying proximity Noise Sensitive Locations (NSL’s) along with other likely dominant noise emissions such as road, rail, aircraft flight paths and other industrial /commercial activities. Where relevant a review of planning conditions on the Site was undertaken regarding acoustic criteria to be reported.

All site acoustic monitoring was completed utilising our in-house Class 1 sound level meter and conducted by a competent acoustician who is professionally recognised by the Institute of Acoustics. 

A comprehensive Noise Impact Assessment was prepared for each site, informed by the desk based reviews and site work, detailing the work completed and the relevant impact on, or predicted for, the locality.

Noise Impact Reports that were submitted in support of planning permission applications.
